Straight answers about scrolling

The questions people ask most about doomscrolling, Reels, Shorts and screen time, answered plainly.

How much screen time is too much?

There is no official daily screen time limit for adults. The World Health Organization's clear limits are for young children: no more than one hour a day for ages 2 to 4, and less is better. For adults, total hours are a weak measure on their own, because work, maps and messaging all count as screen time. Better questions are whether your phone takes time from sleep, movement or people, and whether you stay longer than you meant to. For short videos, assuming an illustrative 24 seconds of viewing per video, 100 videos a day is about 40 minutes.
